    Quality Awareness

CQual quality awareness training ‘QAT’, has been designed to communicate the importance of quality in a company.

The training focusses on customer satisfaction, identifying waste, LEAN , a preventive approach to quality, continual improvement and fundamentally, how a philosophy of understanding the ‘costs of poor quality’, can positively impact the business bottom line.

Topics can be tailored, but often include,

        What is quality?
The ‘Plan Do Check Act’ cycle
        Waste (being LEAN)
        Process variance (6sigma approach)
        Quality standards e.g. ISO9001
        The quality system (basic understanding)
        Customer Satisfaction
        The process approach (Input-Process-Output)
        Consequences of poor quality
        Prevention / Risk Based thinking
Audits – as an improvement tool
        Objectives - setting
The ‘Cost Of Poor Quality’ COPQ

The training is delivered in a straight forward, no nonsense language that will be easily understood, and relevant to all levels of the organisation. Training can be a basic 1/2 day session or up to 2 days covering most aspects of quality. Training can be onsite or offsite, generally in groups of between 6 to 9.

    Practical Problem Solving

        2 or 3 day course.

In this Practical Problem Solving course, delegates will learn how to successfully facilitate a problem solving event.

Tried and tested techniques, plus a few new ideas, are introduced, that help to focus the problem solving event for maximum payback.
The course has been designed to appeal to all levels of expertise and hierarchy, and is supported via email and LinkedIn.

The 'Change Game' ©, helps to reinforce the day's messages, and receives great feedback.

        A systematic approach
If a more detailed approach is required, a detailed analysis of your company 'corrective action' process can be planned before any training takes place.

    Failure Modes & Effect Analysis

Failure Modes - the errors, actual or potential, in a process design, or item.
Effects Analysis - the likely consequences of those failures.

A well planned and executed FMEA activity helps a team to identify potential failure modes based on past experience with similar products or processes, enabling the team to design or eliminate those failures from the process or system with the minimum of effort and resource, thereby saving time and reducing costs to the organisation.

        FMEA facilitating
With over 20 years of experience and success in managing FMEAs, particularly in the aerospace and automotive sectors, we are able to facilitate the entire FMEA process, including training.

Internal Audit Training - For Improvement

        Internal audit
Internal audits are a requirement of ISO9001 and other QMS standards. Often they are conducted to ‘meet the standard’, but companies that follow this trend are missing a fantastic opportunity to improve their businesses. Of course, the audit should be designed in such a way that processes and procedures are queried, but if planned and conducted properly, they will unearth opportunities for improvement; further enhancing customer satisfaction, and also helping to foster a culture of continual improvement. If NCRs are discovered during the internal audit, they can be fixed before a customer or 3rd party assessor identifies them.
Your internal audit programme should be ‘adding value’ to your business. If that’s not the case, a redesign is recommended.

        Internal audit training
        Training schedule may include:
Day 1 - Training day. how to conduct audits that add value.
Day 2 - Practical audits to reinforce learning.

        CQual experience and success
        CQual experience and success
Alan Carr is a fully qualified Lead Auditor conducting more than 250 internal and 2nd party audits, as an audit team leader and in lone roles. On average approximately 10 genuine process improvement opportunities were realised, per each audit day.
Alan has twice held positions were he was responsible for managing an entire supplier audit and development program, and was responsible for setting up the procedures, templates, scoring systems and improvement initiatives for those audits.

    LEAN

To adopt a Lean approach, we need to understand what matters to the customer, in other words, what is value adding, what does the customer truly pay for. We should recognise workflow within our organisation and strive to remove inefficient elements (waste) of processes.
Most importantly, to practice lean properly, we must involve everybody, at every level, starting at the very top.

CQual Lean training has been designed to reach every person in an organisation. The jargon is stripped out and delegates will leave the course with a full understanding of what a LEAN approach is and how to start applying it in their work and general life.
Courses can be in depth or introductory day sessions to suit your requirements.

I have to say that Alan is one of the most talented people I have met in my 20 year career in the industry. I would recommend that any company looking to improve its quality performance in a very practical way to use Alan’s quality expertise.

    Enhancing Business Performance with ISO9001

CQual is able to deliver an introduction to ISO9001, ensuring that members of management, shop floor and staff, are fully aware of the importance of the standard.

Section 8 of ISO9001 is dedicated to measurement, analysis, and improvement, and it is this section which takes centre stage during the training, as the importance of identifying improvement opportunities is emphasised.

Top management can receive training that ensures their responsibilities are understood and that the power of a healthy quality system is not overlooked.

Gap analysis / Pre Assessment to ISO9001

When your customers insist on your business being certified to ISO9001 to be allowed onto their approved suppliers list, it may seem as though a lot of resource is being used, even wasted. But when executed properly, certification to ISO9001 can provide many benefits, including reduced waste and improved customer satisfaction.

Turn the certificate on the wall into something to be proud of, and deliver measurable benefits to your organisation.

CQual has developed a quality system assessment method that identifies, through a scored audit, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. Equally importantly, areas of excellence are identified that can then be mirrored throughout the organisation.

Reports are created in an easy-to-read format with clear charts and descriptive text. CQual is then able to assist any organisation in striving to enhance its quality/business system by addressing each issue.

    Management of Suppliers / Audits

With many years of experience developing suppliers, CQual can manage your entire supplier program. This could include applying risk methodologies to supplier management and designing an audit program to assess and identify opportunities for improvement within your supply base.

    Management of Internal Audits

Internal audits are a requirement of  ISO9001 and of other quality management system (QMS) standards, and they are often conducted to ‘meet the standard’ and generally follow a 'compliance' approach,

"but companies that follow this trend are missing a fantastic opportunity to improve their businesses".

Of course the audit should be designed in such a way that processes and procedures are queried, but with a change of approach, they often unearth opportunities for improvement. This further enhances customer satisfaction, and can also help to foster a culture of improvement.

CQual is able to plan, facilitate and conduct the entire internal audit program. With over 25 years experience and success in auditing in the aerospace, automotive and oil and gas industries, and being an IRCA trained lead auditor, CQual brings a wealth of knowledge to the audit process.

CQual has designed 'LEAN' internal audit systems that deliver improvements and client recommendations.
